Barbed Wire Sandwich is the only album released by the British hard blues band Black Cat Bones, a lot of this band would go on to make up the heavy psych band Leafhound, something worth knowing before you are put off by the insanely horrible album cover which consists of a gremlin like monster eating a sandwich made of sliced white bread, something about it is just disgusting!!
Fortunately the music is pretty good, the singer sounds like a sort of mixture between Ian Gillan and Joe Cocker whilst the music sounds occasionally like Deep Purple or Cream but tracks like "Black Cat Blues" are going to appeal to Santana fans too, it's definitely stuck in ...
